What is the flood risk for data centres in Malaysia?
Malaysia’s flood losses were RM636.9m in 2025 (RM933.4m in 2024), including Johor RM72.1m and Selangor RM52.9m. Johor’s low-lying west coast is the most exposed, and NAHRIM projects 0.67–0.71 m of sea level rise by 2100 for Peninsular Malaysia. JPS flood hazard maps are not public, so the risk for a given plot has to be checked with JPS.
